My work investigates how we build valuable products and features in which humans collaborate with each other and AI. While building Unifire I quickly realised that we had to move away from a "one click" content generation tool (a "wrapper") to one where users can personalise and intervene in the process, if needed. However, different users have different preferences for what that means. Some want to use their own prompts, customise their tone of voice and iterate on the final output, while others just want ready to use content in as many templates as possible to pick the best. And while person A is spending a lot of time in the app, person B could be the happier user, which makes it even harder to evaluate what we are actually doing right.

I'm interested in how to use analytics and evaluations to understand user behaviour and quality of LLM output

Interactions with LLM-powered products are much more multi-dimensional than most people expect. The user experience depends on the users ability, their input quality, the LLM model, the prompts and techniques (RAG etc.) used by the developers. Analysing all these things and making them actionable is a huge interest of mine.

From "build it and they will come" to "distribution first"

Creating content and products is an insane amount of work and after like many other founders I also had my "building and they will come" moment. Since then I'm thinking every project distribution first. I build the Unifire website in 8 months from 0 to 90k visitors a month with programmatic SEO, aim to publish one long-form piece a week to Medium, LinkedIn articles and my blog, and launch one video a day to LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram. All with minimal manual effort.
